Display soundwaves

Hi, i am completely new to Djing and therefore i am not great with all the DJ jargon so apologies...

I cant seem to get my soundwave for deck 1 and 2 display to show at the top of the screen On my XDJ-RRs.....

do i need to get Rekordbox to 'analyse' my tracks?

If so how do i do that on my laptop and then if i do that, can i then upload/export form my pc (windows) to my USB ?

And how do i then get the Rekordbox function on my decks to work?

Currently playing and mixing via my usb port

Please help! And if anyone can zoom teach me how to use this i will pay you!
