Sorry to hear that -- it could certainly be that the USB drives aren't loading data fast enough for the player to read. What are the makes/models of the drives tested?

xdj-rr emergency loop
hello, I just got an xdj-rr today. unfortunately, i'm having a tough time to get an entire track to play through as the usb seems to get disconnected which triggers an emergency loop. i've tried a couple different usbs and formatted some tracks in record box but still seem to have the problem.
please help.

A sandisk cruzer 64gb and a SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 64gb, also tried a Memorex 64gb 3.1 (I realize that's a cheaper brand). I've definitely used the Sandisks in CDJs at clubs and my friends XDJ RX2.
Is there a recommended Brand/Model?

The Cruzer and Ultra should be okay, but the Memorex would potentially be a fail. If you've tried formatting the drives and starting with a fresh export and still have issues, it's entirely possible that the RR's USB port is the problem. As it's brand new, I might suggest returning it to the retailer for an exchange.

Yeah, I figured the memorex would be a no go, but wanted to try a third. It was an "open box/demo" model so I'm wondering if it was a return. Luckily they are sending a brand new one today. Fingers crossed!
