I have recently received delivery of the awesome DDJ 800, at least it would be awesome if i could get it to work!
It appears i have fallen at the first hurdle and cannot get the driver to install. I have tried downloading it from the Pioneer site and tried installing it through Rekordbox as well, but on all occasions i just end up with "installation failed".
I have attempted this on both my desktop and laptop, both running Windows 10 Pro, fully up to date and both of fairly good spec so am baffled as to why this is happening.
Having just spent the best part of £900 on this equipment I have to say that feeling dissapointed is an understatement.
I would be extremely grateful for any help and assistance that anyone could afford me.

turn on your DDJ 800, connect it to the PC (which ever you like) and take a look at your device manager, see if there's a yellow exclamation mark next to any new hardware.
Keep an eye on it, disconnect the 800 and see if it disappears.
If it does, you can boot into safe mode and remove it, restart and reinstall.
Also, check the USB cable by swapping it with another. It could just be that causing the problem.

I have sorted it now, it was an issue updating the Firmware and its all working fine now. It's not very straight forward from the enclosed instruction manual i must say but i got there in the end!
