I am trying to sync my DJM 900 NXS2 with a Roland TR8 (or any of my hardware) but can't work out how. I only want to send the BPM info.
I bought a MIDI USB to DIN Converter from https://www.hobbytronics.co.uk/usb-midi-converter
I saw this was recommended on another post to do this job, but i can't figure out how to connect these to get them to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

You would connect the USB cable from the DJM-900NXS2's A or B port on the top left of the mixer to the MIDI USB port on the converter, then the MIDI OUT from the converter to the TR8. So long as your TR8 is set to receive BPM and not MIDI CLOCK, you should be fine.
You may want to troubleshoot using the tools on the converter site.
Im a bit confused as to how to set the TR8S to receive BPM and not MIDI CLOCK.
On the TR8S Utility settings > SYNC/TEMPO I have tried AUTO/MIDI/USV & INT but none of them seem to work. AUTO and INT play but not in sync.
Are there any other settings i need to set ? I probably need to contact Roland. But if you have any pointers ?
Looks like the answer is possibly no:
The TR-8S owner's manual says it uses MIDI Clock for the sync.
