No, Pioneer DJ isn't "ripping you off" if you buy a rekordbox license and then buy a controller, that was a decision you made, not Pioneer DJ. You are within your right to deactivate the license and sell it to someone else, but there are no refunds from Pioneer DJ, per the terms of purchase.
