File Relocate Not Working

Hi, I am currently having issues with rekordbox finding newly downloaded tracks.

I'm currently using version 4.2.5 and El Capitan 10.11.6.

I downloaded a load of tracks recently from Beatport and saved them onto my external hard drive.

iTunes recognises the location they are stored in and plays them without any issues.

When I open rekordbox and look through the iTunes tab, it shows all the recently downloaded tracks, however when I try and load them, I get the orange exclamation mark and "This file was unable to be found".

I then used the file relocate to change where rekordbox is looking, but after I've changed the location, nothing happens and the same error message is displayed.

I've looked at the file info in rekordbox and it shows the correct file path and mp3 file, but it won't play the new files.

Any ideas?

@Simon > Are you importing them into iTunes and then importing / syncing them from iTunes to rekordbox?

Are you changing anything about those tracks within iTunes after they've been imported to rekordbox?

Do you have this checkbox ticked in iTunes' preferences?

I've just checked the "iTunes preferences" box and it wasn't checked, so I have now changed that.

When I originally set up Rekordbox, I mad sure this was checked as per the instructions, so I don't know why that has suddenly changed?

I don't know if this is of interest, but I re-downloaded all of the missing tracks through the Beatport Mac App, they saved directly to my external hard drive and after I refresh the iTunes feed on Rekordbox, they work perfectly.

I don't know if this is an issue with how I've set things up or if its because I've downloaded online, instead of the app.
