DDJ-SZ Died
Was in the middle of my set at midnight on Christmas, getting ready to start a track on Deck A, DDJ-SZ whole unit and board died, panel light flickers and unit will not power back up. Seems like another had the same issue with the board. Very disappointed and embarrassing at my gig. Purchased on April 20, 2015. Unit didn't even last 20 months.

I am not going to buy and invest in a DDJ-SZ2. Yesterday I shipped my SZ out via FedEx overnight for repair to one of Pioneer's authorized service centers called Falcone's Electronics Service Center in Media, Pennsylvania and Frank the owner is extremely gracious there.
I called Pioneer and they wouldn't help with anything because of the one year warranty. My unit is 20 months old and as an IT person by trade I am suspecting it's a power supply issue because I can pull the plug out of a receptacle and the Wake Up button still blinks until all power is expended in the unit.
As I was typing this out, I just received a call by Frank from the service shop and he confirmed it is a bad power supply. I will never trust a Pioneer controller over an inexpensive Numark Mixdeck Express. Pioneer should stand by their products as I do not abuse my SZ especially for investing almost $2000. All I did was press play to start up Bruno Mars 24K Magic right after midnight on Christmas and just like magic, the unit flashed off and died! How embarrassing! Instead of earning some 24K magic money, this Pioneer is going to cost me a repair expense. After 25 years of DJing using Technics turntables, various CD players, numerous mixers, and never having something by Numark fail this experience will make me think twice about recommending Pioneer products.
So the total repair cost me over $300 to have fixed. The authorized service center mentioned above was fantastic, Pioneer supporting their product, not fantastic.
Sorry you had this issue but glad you got it resolved. Sometimes these things can happen with electronics. Unfortunately, it happened outside of the warranty period. I can assure you this was an isolated incident and that these things do not happen often.
How has the ddj sz worked since you replaced the power supply. I live near Media but would like to here some feedback from you.
