Make sure the CDJ is running the latest firmware. Try using a different USB cable. Since the SP-1 won't connect to your computer, I think that might be the culprit. Let us know how it turns out.
I can't get the SP-1 to work with my CDJ2000 Nexus 2.
I followed the instructions here:-
I've connected the SP-1 via USB cable to the top port on one of my CDJs, press the USB button.
According to the docs I should see the [CONTROLLER ASSIGN] screen but it just says NO USB
I also connected to my Mac and tried a firmware update for the SP-1 but the Java program says the SP-1 is not connected.
The SP-1 is drawing power from the CDJ. When I plug in the demo lights flash then once that has finished only both LOAD buttons are lit.
I've tried going into settings and switching from Serato mode to non-Serato mode and also enabling / disabling advanced midi but in any of these configurations the SP-1 is not recognized by either of my CDJ 2000 Nexus 2.
How do get set up correctly?

Turned out to be the cable after all. Can confirm that the SP-1 works with the CDJ 2000 Nexus 2 just "plug and play" no configuration to worry about. Nice!
Glad to hear it!
Is the NXS2 and XDJmk2 the only units this works on?
Would love to plug into the CDJ2000 nexus at the club and have it work for hotcues and rolls.
hopefully this is a firmware update away!
This feature is limited to the CDJ-2000NXS2 and XDJ-1000mk2.
