Rekordbox sync vs XDJ 1000 mk2 sync?

Hi

Could someone please explain to me how two tracks mixed together in rekordbox, on my laptop using sync, will stay perfectly in sync and require no adjustments to stay in time.

If I export these exact same tracks and try the mix on xdj1000 mk2's with sync on they drift? and they require adjustment to keep the mix in time. The tracks are both analysed in rekordbox and I have manually adjusted the beat grids perfectly. I expect sync on the xdj1000's to behave exactly the same as the rekordbox software and keep the tracks perfectly in time?

Thank you.

@Keiko @Pulse.. Can we please have an update? This issue is almost 9 months old and no answers. Can I get a refund?

Thanks

@Keiko @Pulse, I can help the engineer to reproduce the issue with the XDK1000 MK2.  I bet there are a lot of users experiencing the same issue. Thanks

I believe they can already replicate it? Just seems their £100 software can do what their £1300 XDJ cannot.

Must admit this is getting very frustrating now. I have been trying to get this sorted since November 2016.

Thanks for re-opening this "Pulse". But why wasn't this originally solved?. This has been going on for months with countless threads on the XDJ's. Hopefully an update soon!.

Seems we are waiting on a Firmware Update to resolve this now Identified and hopefully fixed issue.

Any timescale @Pulse/@Keiko?

But it is still Coming? You can understand why we keep chasing you? It has been nearly a year and my RX still isn't fixed and you have a nice shiny one out that doesn't have these issues.

A bit of reassurance would be nice for people worried that their controller will get left behind and forgotten about.

@pulse I have bought this xdj rx a week ago, and noticed the problem immediately. I didn't had this sync problems with my ddj rx controller.

This xdj rx is one of the top products of pioneer, and the owners of it deserve a quick fix of the firmware.

If this is not possible you should offer us a good discount on the xdj rx2 as we trade the old version.

Thanks in advance.

Just in case anyone missed it. The new firmware is now available on pioneers website for the XDJ RX :).

@Elliot, thanks for the update.

I did a couple of test today with the 2.21 firmware and for me the syncing problem is solved with the XDJ RX..

Good work Pioneer!

I have tested it with a few tracks and it seems to be so far so good.

I may have found another new issue in 2.21, but I will test further before I raise it on the Forum haha!

Has anything else happened here on the part of pioneer?

XDJ-RX firmware v2.21 says:

"[FIXED] With SYNC enabled certain MP3 files did not sync."

Can someone from Pioneer please confirm if the fix applies to WAV files too?

I've experienced this issue off and on using v2.20 and WAV files.  I've upgraded to v2.21 so its too early to say if its fully resolved the issue or not for me.

And, do the XDJ-RX2 and XDJ-XZ have the same issue or do they user a different playback/sync engine?

@Kevin > That's more likely an issue of songs being analysed in DYNAMIC mode when they should be NORMAL mode.

@Pulse > I am positive I have used NORMAL mode.  Is there any way to tell which mode a track was analysed with though so I can confirm?

Unfortunately there is no indicator; something I do is to use a custom MyTag - when I select a bunch of rock or disco songs, I'll anaylse them in DYNAMIC mode and then add the specific MyTag "Dynamic Analysis" for them, others would get the "Normal Analysis" tag.

Try re-analysing them, run through the beat grid and ensure it's properly aligned, then test again.

Normal analysis, basic bpm of same tracks 138 (trance mixing) , grid on recordbox is also fine and the tracks after few seconds are splitng out.

And using a jog wheel cant help. :/

@Pulse Has the issue with the ver 2.21 firmware update fixed the sync slip? Ive been seeing online that some people have been still experiencing the slip issue. I tend to beat match by ear, and even when im perfectly on, it still slips out a few beats later. Im currently running 2.20 and my audio files are AIFF

I can't say for sure, but you could try upgrading and if it doesn't meet your needs, downgrade back to 2.20.

Mesmo com o firmware 2.21 o problema continua. Alguém conseguiu resolver esse problema? Estou sofrendo com isso a alguns anos. Sem solução.
