Pioneer DDj-SB2 not connecting to Macbook Pro.

So I just got my DDJ-SB2 and I tried plugging in and starting and nothing. I plug it into my Macbook Pro 13 (Mid 2012) and nothing shows up or even begins to say it's connecting. People say to check the " Audio MIDI Setup" when I plug it in, and even then I see nothing.

Hello Austin,

As you checked Audio MIDI Setup and found nothing there, please see the FAQ for DDJ-SB2 from the link below and see below Q5 and click "this link" shown below.

Q5: The DDJ-SB2 is not recognized by the computer.

"Please see the effective workaround from this link.
Replace “DDJ-ERGO” with “DDJ-SB2” as you read the instructions."

Thanks,

CRM, Pioneer DJ

In the latest serato intro I'am told does not support the older units in the free intro version, also serato that came with different hardware is limited to that device only, eg numark unit with free serato will only work that set of decks and not "any MIDI device" , I does not tell you this but thats my deduction, i was able to "emulate" another device and serato connected and used my SB2's but only if i made it pretend to be DDJ-SX (dont ask how as that way to long to put here and contains things against forum rules, if you want to know read my posts in Digital DJ Magazine if they are still online)
