Opinions About DDJ RZX

I have recently purchased a DDJ-RZX. Am using it mobile and have been out twice with it. The first night it (Rekordbox) crashed at least 6 times and I was regretting my purchase. After updating Rekordbox to the new public beta, this last Saturday night it crashed just once! The controller itself is a very impressive piece of kit and it will certainly take (me) some time to master it. There is a huge amount of effects for both audio and video. So many buttons and of course 3 touch screens! If Pioneer can perfect Rekordbox then I shall certainly be very pleased it. Hope this helps your decision and feel free to ask questions!

If you aren't a guy that likes to use sync, then right now the rzx isn't great. The pitch controls aren't perfect yet. But like Andy Beech says, it is a really nice piece of kit. If you have the money, buy the cdjs. It's better to have the real deal. I have the cdjs too, so it depends on your need. As far as mobile gigs go, I'm excited for the rzx, especially once the bugs are worked out. If you are looking at controllers, I'd definitely get the rzx. I've had the sz, and the rz, and I really loved playing on the rz. The rz was flawless! And the nice thing with the rekordbox based controls, is that you only need one data base for your library, if you are playing in the clubs. Hope that helps!

I sold my cdj's to buy the ddj rzx. You can't play videos from a cdj.....
Yes, the pitch control is currently rubbish but hopefully Pioneer will sort it.
