NXS2 Browsing hides hotcues

Hey guys

NXS2s has been doing this weird thing where when you browse the cue info disappears until you add another cue:

Not sure if they updated it to the newest firmware yet (I wasn't the first DJ tonight) but the last couple of firmwares it's been a consistent glitch.

Cheers

@Nic > Unfortunately the video is rather short and doesn't answer some of the questions our engineers have - could you provide a bit more information?

Which version of the firmware are you using? Does it occur with the newest version?

Does it occur with every track? Or tracks with only more than 4 hotcues? And does it occur every time the track is loaded?

Which version of rekordbox was used to export the tracks on which it occurs?

Are your hotcues set to pre-load when you load the track?

Hey Pulse

Nic here, (but on a different email).  Sorry about the shortness of the video, I don't have NXS2s at home so could only film on the fly whilst DJing so not my best cinematography haha.  I haven't tried it with the new firmware yet, this happened on all versions prior to the latest update but tonight I'm doing an early set at the venue with NXS2s so will update the firmware before starting and give it a test.

Good question, I think it was only tracks with four or more hotcues but if it happens again this evening I'll pay close attention and make more comprehensive notes.  It did occur every time the track was loaded.  Basically the hotcues appear as normal when you load the track but after browsing and tagging tracks and going back to view the waveform all hotcue information disappears until you add another hotcue and then they all appear again (as you should be able to see in the video).  I know normally people might not encounter this problem as they would traditionally browse on the deck they want to load into but often because I'm still sitting in the playlist of tracks I want to access I'll do it on the deck that's playing and then tag it so I can quickly grab it on the other player via LINK.  Because of the workflow possibly being a little left of centre I suspect this is why it hasn't been brought up before.

Anyway I'll update the firmware to the one released last week and report back!

Cheers

Hey Pulse

Haven't had any issues since the last firmware update so it looks like this has fixed whatever was going on.  I'll keep you guys posted if anything happens again

this happens to me all the time, Pulse I will record a video reproducing this, I believe I see it a lot  when I do a search using the keyboard and then pressing the back button. This has been happening for the last few firmwares but I never got around to post

Thanks for the video.  The engineering team was able to replicate this issue and it will be addressed in a future firmware update.
