Hi, make a playlist and then "import to collection" then it will analyse it at the same time..Sorry bad English ;)
New to rekordbox (like 2 hours) ... just bought a DDJ-RZX.
Previously used Traktor for years.
Wanting to start playing about and use the RZX with Rekordbox and my first port of call is organising my "Collection".
So, I see in my "Browser" I have a "Collection", "Playlists", "iTunes" and "Explorer".
Currently all my music is in "Explorer" - I have a mapped network drive on my laptop that synchronises with my music folder on my main server/home computer.
I can browse this Folder and drag files into deck A,B etc. and play about.
After which they get added to my "Collection", but I cannot SEARCH within the "Browser" so I guess I need to import all my music in my mapped network drive into my collection.....
How on earth do I do this?
And then I'm a bit concerned that I don't want DUPLICATES of all my music on my laptop.

If you want to benefit from your Traktor Collection without the Need to to rebuild all grids, cue Points, hot cues etc you need a 3rd Party tool. Search for Rokord Buddy on the web.
If you just want to Import your Music and Analyse from scratch, you can do this as described.
Ok, have done this... so what happens in the following scenario:
I've added a new album and a few new songs in different folders on my server.
Without knowing "where" these new songs are, how can I make rekordbox add just the new ones?
In Traktor, I could just "import all" and it would quickly scan through the folders and only add new Ines to my collection.... however it looks like rekordbox box will take hours to do the same, as it will be making new playlists and re analysing them all when I add the to the collection again!
Any update on this, just starting to use rekordbox and this was the first thing I noticed.
It's all good... I just have a playlist which is called the name of the directory....
When you explore within rekordbox to the directory of all your music, right click and "Import as playlist".
It then creates the playlist with the directory name.
If you then add more music, repeat that procedure, and it only imports NEW music into the same playlist (A pop-up appears to warn you that the playlist already exists, but this is fine)
The only caveat is if you CHANGE files in the directories, it will RE-Import them, and you will lose any changes you made within rekordbox (Analysis, hot cues etc).
I've been doing this for the last year, and not had any issues.
