DJM450, Rekordbox, DVS, Technics 1210's: Recording a mix

Hi,

Received my DJM 450 recently (still waiting for DVS vinyl).

While recording a mix using rekordbox with DVS, is it possible to switch a deck from playing the control vinyl and use an actual vinyl record and still have the sound recorded through rekordbox, or will there be ~5mins of silence on the recording while the real vinyl is playing?

I haven't tried to do any of this yet as no dvs records. Thought someone may have tried already.

cheers.

I tested this with the DJM-900NXS2 and if you have a DVS deck that you switch to a line or phono audio input on that channel instead of a PC input selector, the rekordbox deck display will change to EXTERNAL INPUT and the audio input from that channel will indeed be recorded.

Just to double check.

Could you record a whole session with real vinyl using the DJM 450 and recording everything with Rekorbox? Using Technics 1200 turntables?

Thank you.
