hello,
i just bought a used pioneer djm 700. the previous owner claimed to have used it sparingly, and it appears to be in excellent condition. it even still smells new. i have never used a pioneer mixer before, and here is my issue:
all 4 channels work and sound great. however, when i assign the cross fader to B, none of the channels cut out.
when i assign the crossfader to A, the channels cut out as they are supposed to.
any thoughts? i'm wondering if it's something i'm overlooking. thank you.

hi,
i really appreciate the response. i am assuming you mean to focus on the "CROSS FADER ASSIGN switch" section. I read it several times before I posted on this forum. I have read it again since you suggested it. Yet, I still have the problem.
Am I missing something? If I want the cross fader to work, I assign the channel to either A or B. If I don't want the cross fader to affect the mix, I set to THRU. Am I right?
When I assign a channel to A, the cross fader works. When I assign a channel to B, the cross fader has no effect. Please let me know if I'm missing something. Thanks again!
If you've properly set the Cross Fader Assign switches and are still experiencing this issue, you may need to replace the crossfader. If you are mechanically inclined, you could order the part and replace it yourself. Otherwise, please contact your nearest authorized repair center.
thanks very much for your advice. i will look into that. Cheers!
hi,
could you tell me before I open it if the cross fader is screwed down or do I need to solder it?
thanks again
