Rekordbox wont link on mac

Rekordbox link worked fine 2 days ago and now refuses to like to my mac?  Ive changed the cables,  re installed the driver for the mixer, updated rekordbox to 4.4.0.

Setup is 2 x CDJ 2000 nsx2's, 900 nsx2 mixer.

It works fine on my old windows laptop, Ive a gig next week guys so a quick fix would be a great help.

Just want to add, I did the updating after the link stopped working.

@aaron > If you see firewall alerts pop up, you HAVE NOT TURNED OFF THE FIREWALL. If you have it on, you need to have all four allowed in order for the link to work properly.

Please follow the instructions in this video (it's for rekordbox 3 but everything still applies to rekordbox 4). In addition, you can ensure your wifi is disabled and any file sharing or other server applications are disabled.

Guys can anyone help me out here, I need this fixed for the weekend or im screwed, Rekordbox wont link at all, ive tried with the firewall off, is there a log report i can send and someone have a look at it, im using sierra 10.12.5, should i go back to an older OS, or an older version of rekordbox? if so where do i find that?

Usually when i open rekordbox link, three or four separate firewall popups appear, and the link doesnt become active until ive ok'd the last one, Im only getting one popup as i open rekordbox, its as if my mac doesnt recognise the players and mixer are connected.

I have all four set as incoming,  the popups have been happening for  quite a while (i think since the release of sierra) but the link always worked after i ok'd them.

Is there a way to do a fresh install of rekordbox, and keep all my tracks, playlists cuepoints ect?

@aaron > So with the firewall disabled does it work?

Any time you update rekordbox, it's a "fresh install" but your preferences and settings are all retained, as is your collection database (cue points, waveform analysis / beatgrids, playlists, etc.) What is it you're trying to do?

It doesnt work with the firewall disabled either, I was asking about the cuepoints ect because i was thinking of going back to an earlier version of rekordbox to see if that works?

Im currently on 4.4 beta but it wouldnt link on the earlier version either

@aaron > Have you ensured that all other network connections are disabled as well as any file sharing or server services? You can see this article for additional information on checking the firewall and network details.

Might be the known nfs "problem"..

Try running "sudo nfsd stop" in your terminal and restart the Rekordbox....

I got to the bottom of the link problem, It was an Anker usb to ethernet adapter i was using....  I replaced it with Apples own adapter and it works fine, Though i still have the 4 pop ups.
The old Anker adapter still works fine with my windows laptop so im not sure if Apple pushed a stealth security update to the mac that made it stop working? (i didnt do any updating until after the link stopped working so it wasnt an update that caused the problem) I got caught out because the Anker has a couple of lights that blink when its transmitting data and these where functioning so i assumed it was working ok.

Ok so how do i get rid of the pop up problem?  I have all 4 connections allowed in the firewall, And ive tried opening a new file for each in applications and drag/dropping them into the firewall permissions box but with no luck.

What do i try next? I had also read its a "signature problem"

@Marek   is the NFS problem you mentioned anything to do with the firewall?

@aaron

Nope - its a different story :) Give it a try - the command I sent just stops the nfs server which might be running on your mac and holding the ports the rekordbox uses to communicate with the players.

@aaron > That was a change in the OS; I have an ASUS one which works fine with my MacBook Pro when it's running Windows in Bootcamp, but doesn't have the proper drivers running under macOS.

To get rid of the pop-up problem, I'd recommend removing the entries you currently have in the firewall and follow the instructions in the video I linked above to re-add them, or simply disable your firewall while playing.

The "signature problem" is only for drivers on Windows 7 for users who have outdated driver certificate data.
