Am I doing something wrong or can you not load tracks from an external drive into RB and then use LINK function to drag those files to a CDJ linked?
reason I ask is right now I have 500GB worth of music on my MacBook, All music I keep with me, Want to upgrade my MacBook and get a 256GB model vs TB model and then move all my music to an external drive and have RB "relocate" my libraries files to the external, When I did a test track though I then can't LINK the decks to the MacBook and load that track anymore once its on an external, It will play in the RB player on my MacBook but will not load to the CDJ

after further testing most work on the external but every once in a while I get the error below and the track doesn't load. Its an MP3 just like all the others, same format at all, plays fine in RB player or if on local drive but if I relocate to external and try and play on CDJ through link I get the "cannot play track" error
E-8302: CANNOT PLAY TRACK(C658)
I use an external drive exclusively for my music and it does work for link, even after a relocation. Is the external drive USB?
thanks Pulse, I get mix results, some tracks (as a test) if I rename them, then relocate them through RB they are found but can't be played through LINK without getting that error, its weird
