Piooneer DJ MacBoom setup with CDJ 900 nexus

Hello,

I have downloaded the trial for rekorbox DJ and keen to purchase but struggling to setup and work out what additional gear I need such as cables / hubs.

Nothing is clear online after searching !

Setup is:

2 x Pioneer CDJ 900 nexus

1 x Pioneer DJM 750

MacBook Pro Touchbar 2016 (USB C)

I have a USB-C to USB-B computer connection for the back of the CDJs and was hoping to connect one and then link the 2 CDJs but I've read you need a hub?

Any help much appreciated !

Thanks

@Adam > You don't need a hub if you're only linking two players; they can be connected directly to each-other via ethernet cable on the ProDJ Link. Unfortunately, the CDJ-900NEXUS doesn't support the USB-to-ProDJ Link bridge, and you'll need to either connect both computers via USB (for using rekordbox in PERFORMANCE mode), or ethernet (for using rekordbox in EXPORT mode), in which case you would need an ethernet hub, as well as an ethernet adapter for your MacBook.

- Download CDJ Aggregator software

- Connect both cdjs to the MBP

- Run cdj aggregator, both cdjs should be detected, leave window open.

- Select utilities in cdjs and link players

- Use either in performance or export, as u wish.

- Play in HID mode :)

This saves you all the hassle of linking players and connecting hubs.
