We need a way to convert hot cues to memory cues

We absolutely NEED a way to convert or "bring over" all hot cues to memory cues in Rekordbox, I have over 17,000 tracks and simply don't have the time to move them all over

It's not built-in to rekordbox (I'll pass along the suggestion), you'll have to do that with an external function like a script to convert or copy the XML data from the memory point to the hot cue.

Thanks Pulse, another solution would be creating a setting to make the hotcues so they don't automatically start playing when pressed (unless you hold it down then it should play the audio only until you let go of the button).

I was able to fix the problem last night by using a software called DJ Conversion Utility and all my hot cues are now memory cues but I still would like a feature to be added to have a setting where hotcues don't auto-play.

Forgot to mention this is only in regards to while a deck is stopped, if you press the hotcue while a deck is playing it should simply jump to that point in the song as usual

Wow I just found under Advanced Preferences there is an option called "During Pause, GATE playback is applied" Is this something that will carry over onto my XDJ-RX2 if I'm exporting onto USB and using the RX2 in standalone mode? I didn't see an option for this in the RX2 Utility menu anywhere

Unfortunately, none of the hardware players (or combo units) have a "gate" function for the hot cues, although it is something we've asked about for years. They were reluctant to change it based on the method of operation of CDJs over the last 20 years.

That's what I was wondering as well, it's to get you used to the CDJs or keep it the same as the way they behave on them. I'll have to get used to this I know you can hold down the jog wheel, press the hotcue, then press the cue button to get it paused where you want it

Bought my RX2 today and missing gate function is the biggest drawback. Even my RB had it. It’s actually pretty absurd that it is missing. Hot cues should work like memory cues when paused and as hot cues when track is playing, so simple, c’mon Pioneer
