DDJ-RB Licence Key

So I just sold my DDJ-RB without the Rekordbox licence key because I still want to use the software for my CDJ's. I obviously don't want anybody else using my rekordbox software but I am just wondering if the person I sold it to would be able to get the licence key number by using the serial number on the back or something? Or will it be impossible for him to find out what the licence key the DDJ-RB came with was.

And also does the licence last forever?

Hello Luke,

No, you cannot keep and use the license key forever. If you return the unit to a store, the store will replace the license key with a new one and the old one will be revoked after that.

You should send the license key to the new owner of the DDJ-RB.

Please deactivate the license key on all the activated computers before sending it to the new owner. Otherwise, your computer will be negatively affected.

At any rate, you will lose that license key eventually.

Ok I'll deactivate it then. When I give it to him will it work for him forever?

Yes, a license is permanent - but you'll also need to file an inquiry here to release the license key from your account once you've deactivated it.

I’ve lost my laptop in which I’ve logged in the lincense key now I’ve deleted that account and created another one on the same email but whenever i logging and add the lincense key it says eror code 19 which is that lincense key is being used in another account.. i don’t have any other account i created one on my email then I’ve lost my laptop then i deleted that account and created a new account on the same email but the lincense key is not working i need help please..
