DDJ-RZ Post Fader Effects (again?)

I've seen some posts about post fader effects on the RZ, and that because the mixing mode is internal, it should all work. But I can't find how to enable post fader effects for for instance the Delay effect.

The CFX are post fader, but the reqular FX are not. Unless you get the extra RMX effects, none of the FX effects are post fader.

Please help!

PS: I don't get it why there's not just a setting to set any effect to post fader or pre fader. This includes the CFX. Please Pioneer?

I asked about this once before and was given a complicated and long-winded answer about the routing of the signal... short answer; only some of the effects are post-fader, but if you want the others to be as well, enable them on the master.

Right, so what you're saying it's a hardware limitation? For a machine that costs nearly 2000 euro's? This can't be true!

Even a *$% Kontrol S2 can do this! And a 'flagship' PioneerDJ Controller can't?

Want to try you suggestion.. but how do I enable the Delay effect on the master?

Ok, found that.., per FX unit we can assign a deck, sampler deck or master. But then I still have no post-fader effect, or only very short. No way to adjust the length of the post fader effect?

Oh I see now.. the fade out time it's linked to the first parameter knob of the Delay effect. That is pretty useless. On 3/4 it's very short, and on 16/1 is very long. There should be no relation, this should be adjustable. And on top of that, it's not a fade out effect, it's *boom* gone. This is such a shame.. :-(

Perhaps I should try to learn to use the release fx (echo out).

I tried the effects on my RZ and they seem to work logically with one exception. The effects that should continue post-fader are the echo, delay and reverb effects as they extend the sound. Echo/reverb are ok, the one that should work but doesn't is the delay, but personally I can't see any sensible use for a single repeat once the fader has been dropped. If you have a three effect chain with echo/reverb as the first effect then the other two effects effect do work on the post-fader part of the echo/reverb which I think is correct. The one thing that doesn't work as I'd expect is turning off the echo/reverb after you drop the fader. The effect continues in this case. To turn it off you have to disengage the effect from the deck using the FX 1/2 on/off buttons. This is on RB5.01
