Just today I started having an issue with every effect.
When using any effect, at any depth level, the effect is choppy and harsh sounding. It's like trying to talk to someone who is on a bad cell connection. The effect goes in and out sometimes. Sometimes it is really low. Sometimes super loud and harsh.
It's like effects are getting chopped and screwed. Sometimes the effects will also like slow down the tempo or speed it up.
It just started today and I also saw there was a software update I didn't upgrade to. I just did that and the issue persists.
This is so weird. Has anyone else had this problem? I can't use any of the effects like echo, reverb, none of those in my sets.

Unfortunately that's what I'm thinking -- your best bet is to have it serviced, we don't recommend users attempt to disassemble or repair equipment themselves. You can find a list of authorized shops in your region here.

From your video, it always seems to happen with the depth knob around the same position - 2 o'clock. I wonder if perhaps that pot is failing...?
That is exactly what is happening. Around 1/2 o'clock it fails.
How would I go about checking if the pot is failing? Or has failed already.
How much do service shops usually run, to have something like this, serviced?
Unfortunately I don't know, it varies from shop to shop. Most would be able to do that within the usual minimum 1hr bench fee.
