Is that an Extreme CZ80, Extreme Go, or Extreme Pro? There are differences between them, and the cheaper (CZ80 / Go) models aren't great at writing small 4K files, which are around the sizes of the memory / waveform datasets for each track.

It's a Go. How much faster do you think the Pro will be? Interesting that I have to spend $150 on a usb stick to have reasonable writing speed from rekordbox? No, I need to spend $300 as I need 2 sticks for gigs so I have a backup or if there are linking issues. This cost would seem to me to be a significant barrier to using the Pioneer product.

@David > Not at all - the fact that rekordbox writes a bunch of small files is the reason it's slow. A drive not capable of writing those files quickly and efficiently will take more time in the export process. Not all drives are created equal - my recommendation is to spend a little bit more and be confident in knowing the drives will read and write quickly. I'd rather spend money on a drive for speed than to sit and wait, but that's just me. If you're okay with it taking the time, just be aware of it and plan accordingly.

Not sure if you do this for your backup already but I use cloning software rather than export from RB for my backup stick as I find it quicker.
