Did you mean to have the search buttons step through the track? rekordbox doesn't provide that functionality.

DDJ RZ search mapping
Hey Guys,
Hopefully this is possible, currently i use a full cdj 900 nxs setup for my mobile djing and love use the search button to fine tune when cuing songs. I have a ddj rz that i use for home and sometimes some small parties i do and recording mixes and was wondering if it's possible to map that function to the ddj rz. It's just one of my small gripes with controllers and love how the xdj rx has those. I don't want to have to switch an awesome controller for a function that doesn't exist and is bugging the crap out of me. I'm tempted to do a straight swap for an xdj rx2 because it has the screen and that function, but one of lazy cos it's the holiday period lol, and two i don't mind the extra channels as they come in handy.

Correct. Although I know the needle search function is there for doing that. I use the rz in CDJ mode so when I hit the Play/Pause button and I hear the stuttering noise ( as I do on CDJ 900 but not on the ddj ), I can use those buttons to fine tune my cue point.

Yeah, the DDJs don't have "stutter cue" functionality, so you'll have to update your method of cueing to vinyl scrub. I used to use the stutter method exclusively, having started DJing back on CDJ-500II's which only had this option! Now I'm used to both thanks to changing technology.
