Rekordbox update from 4.4.0 to 5.0.3: dynamic beatgrid gone

Hello,

After updating (tracks were not re-analysed), I don't see the BPM changing anymore for dynamically analyzed tracks in the 4.4.0 version.

The beatgrid seems ok, but as the BPM number stays constant in the box e.g. 128.0, there is no way to see if the track is normally or dynamically analyzed.

What to do?

Thanks!

Are you saying you analysed songs in 5.0.3 and then running the song in 4.4.0 doesn't show the variation?

No, I analysed the songs in the old version. If I look at the BPM number there, I see it changing throughout the song (this is good, as it's dynamic). After upgrading, in the new version 5.0.3 I don't see the BPM changing anymore so I am not even sure if it's still dynamic (I guess it is as the songs were not re analyzed again as the upgrade went very fast). So the problem is I don't see the BPM number changing in the new version.

In the old version all is still the same (so all is still good).

Thanks!

Any news on this Pulse? Were the engineers able to replicate this? Thanks.

In my testing, even when playing a track analysed (dynamic mode) in 5.0.2 or 5.0.3 (or newer betas), the track would always show the changing BPM while being played-back and not in sync to another source. The number in orange within the jog shows the original track BPM, not that segment's BPM. Perhaps that's where the confusion comes in?

I don't know what you mean with the orange number. I am talking about the free version, where the BPM in white is shown next to the Key of the song and the duration of the song, above the wave form...

It's the same thing -- the main playback BPM was changing unless I was in sync.

I am happy it works for you but for me and an other guy here on the forum it does not. With me it only changes in the old version, not in the new. I can make a youtube video if needed. Most of my files are AIFF files. I can't remember if I tested it with MP3's but I have to say I have never seen the BPM changing although I know for sure I analysed a good amount of tracks in dynamic.

Can you be in sync in the 1 player mode? (I put it off sync in 2 player mode and hope that transfers to the 1 player mode).

I have noticed exactly the same thing. Tracks that were analyzed and had grid alterations made ages ago, now appear to have a flat bpm...

I don't use sync, so maybe not too much of an issue for me, but it was a good thing to see/know, doesn't make much sense, to me, that it's not there now.
