Official comment
This happens because when you switch from PC mode, the USB disconnects from your computer. We don't recommend switching sources when connected to software with the CDJ-850.

Problems rekordbox dj + CDJ 850
Help needed !
When 2x cdj 850 is connected to recordbox dj everything is ok. But when i want to switch in one of cdj 850 to usb or disc, the other cdj 850 output is pausing the music it plays for a moment.
My laptop: Dell CPU i3 M350 8GB ram , win 7 64 bity,

hey im just wondering what the latest is on cdj 850 functions with the new rekordbox 5.2.0. im having to bring my nexus cdjs to work but if i could id rather use the house cdj 850's. HID mode is my preferred not dvs with timcode.

Yes, the CDJ-850 works -- here is the control mapping so you know what buttons control which functions of rekordbox.
