Dynamic Analysis

Hi,

I recently had to reinstall Rekodbox on a new laptop, and re -analyse all of  my music. I mostly play modern house and techno music, so analysis isn't a problem, but I've found that when using dynamic analysis to do hip hop or older music, it is giving e a consistent BPM throughout the whole track. I believe when I used to use this mode the BPM would vary. Has there been some change to the way the system works, or am I doing somethig wrong?

I raised this issue earlier, I am glad you confirm this and I am not the only one!

PULSE: in the meantime, is there an easy method to find all the songs that are analysed in dynamic mode and put them in one folder?

No, there's nothing that "flags" the tracks as being dynamic vs. normal, although you could do that with MyTag when you're importing / analysing the tracks.

I should ask -- even though it's displaying a consistent BPM, are you currently in SYNC? I haven't tested this myself (because I'm testing several betas and have a tiny amount of tracks currently loaded in my database), but it should show you a consistent BPM when it's sync'd. I know the old method did show the old, unaltered tempo, but it could simply be a display change.

I am quite old school and only use the 1 player modus (in the free version of the program), but also after unchecking "sync" in the 2 player modus, when I went back to the 1 player modus (I don't think there is a sync option), the beatgrid seemed fixed...  It's necessary to see the BPM changing as that's the easiest option to check how you analysed the tracks with a variable beatgrid... I am talking about the white BPM in the right top corner, next to the key and above the wave of the song.

Hope this will come back soon again!
