The backup / restore option is the best bet; that will give you the option to move everything, including your music, and it will also ensure that there are no hiccups in the changes to the file paths within the settings.
Hello.
I've just bought myself a new MacBook.
I didn't think that I would need more than a Time Machine-copy to recover the old library, but I can't seem to figure out how to...
I've been trying to locate the "~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox", but I can't seem to find it in my Time Machine..
Can anyone please help me out on this one..
Simon :-)

If you still have access to your old machine it might be easier to "backup library" and then "restore library" on the new laptop. Time Machine should restore the library files but it could depend on your backup settings.
If not, try cmd+shift+g in finder, enter ~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox and then enter Time Machine. Should work.
It doesn't work...
it's getting really frustrating...
is someting like "team viewer" a possibility, or am I stuck..??
Do you still have access to the old computer?
I have the same problem. I had to reinstall a system on my mac. Of course i made a time machine backup, but now i can't find in time machine any rekordbox files?
any ideas to recover my rekordbox playlists?
@Aleksander > You would need to look in the following folder to find the rekordbox files:
/<Mac HD name>/Users/Library/Pioneer/rekordbox
If you can't see the folder, you can show the hidden folders by pressing COMMAND+SHIFT+. (period), or open the Finder and click Go > Go to Folder from the menu.
Thank you, works perfectly!
