[XDJ-RX2] Questions regarding flac/alac, moving waveforms in perf. mode
Hy,
waited so Long for this device and now i see that there's obviously no Support for flac/alac? is this just a typo or will it be supported with future fw update?
this can't be true every new Player Supports flac/alac and the latest one not, can't believe this :-(
and will the moving waveforms be shown when using rb in Performance mode or only in Export mode?

In the RX2 manual the music playback specs are exactly the same as the original RX which I find baffling! No Flac/Alac. £250 extra for a touch screen and four more pads essentially. No upgrade sale from me :-(((

Could you please comment if the lack of FLAC or ALAC support on XDJ RX2 is a hardware limitation, like that on the XDJ RX or if this is patchable (or planning to be added) in the future. It seems like quite an oversight and the main reason a lot of people have been holding out for the MK2 version.

It's two things ... one, a hardware limitation because, two, they wanted to keep the costs down.
No information on waveforms from rekordbox at this time, however I believe it will operate the same as the current XDJ-RX.
For the record, even the original XDJ-RX can play FLAC and ALAC ... from rekordbox in performance mode.
There are several improvements to the hardware, not just changing to 8 RGB pads and a touch screen. There's also a special rekordbox video control mode, Plus, you get the advanced track filtering of the CDJ-2000NXS2 / XDJ-1000MK2.

waited so Long for finally playing standalone with flac on a small AIO device and now this :-/
really hope for the moving waveforms with grids in perf mode!
it should be no Problem since vdj got this implemented in hid mode even on the mk1 Version (pio not -why?).
