Ddj sx2 usb jack broke, now repair wants to replace pcb board.

Can this be correct. My usb jack snapped off into the inside of the unit. Sent to repai4 and now they say the price has damaged the off board and needs to be replaced 450 Plus labor. Wtf, I don't have receipt anymore and over warranty. All was working fine till the jack broke, now he is saying the tempo fader not working correctly and it's acting weird. Has anyone had this issue. I can't believe a broken jack would cause these issues. Any help would be great. As I paid 700 for the unit from a friend who bought it New and used it once and it wasn't what he wanted so I bought it off him 99% New. And I take very good care of my gear so this was a big surprise.
