DDJ-SR2 Hardware failed to connect

Hi,

I have a Pioneer ddj-sr2 device and could not connect it to my macbookpro(mid 2012). When I connect it to my laptop and open serato dj it says "DDJ-SR2 harware connecting. This can take up to one minute." and after that comes text "DDJ-SR2 hardware failed to connect. Please try again". I have tried many times using different USB-cable and different USB-ports. I updated the OS to Yosemite and downloaded drivers from pioneers web page.I also erased and downloaded serato dj software again couple of times.I connected my turntable to the controller and it worked out fine.

Now I've also installed drivers and serato dj on PC with Windows 10 and the situation remains same.

@mary mac > Does your SR2 show on the list if you go to the Apple > About This Mac > System Report > Hardware > USB (while the SR2 is connected via USB cable)?

i figured it out. it wasn't recognizing the device - went to Audio Midi Setup and changed configuration from default to new - now the device became recognizable by my computer

I too am having this issue as described except im running High Sierra on mac OS.I have the power cord along plugged in. Changing the Midi option did not work for me. I installed the drivers but still no luck. It says failed to connect to hardware but im still able to use both decks on my controller I just dont want any issues when doing a gig. Thanks.

@Santino > As above... are you using the wall-plug or just USB power?

My SR2 is not connecting to Mac Monterrey12. I had to send my deck out for service because the power supply failed. This loaner deck will not connect. Using Serato DJ Pro. I have tried all the advice on the forum. Uninstall/reinstall drivers and software, audio midi controls, new cables, and just usb power,  The computer recognizes the deck as SR2 and the deck functions(tested at store). I have tried the current Serato version all the way back to 2.5.7. Thanks for any ideas.

@kevin > Could be that your SR2 is set by the computer as the default input or output device in the Audio MIDI Setup app; make sure those assignments are for your computer's audio devices, not the SR2.
