Problems exporting to 128 gb FLASH drive?

Heya,

I was wondering: is there a problem with exporting my library to 128 gb flash drives? I needed to play with my sticks on NYE and I noticed that none of the 128 gb flash drives prepared in rekordbox were working (I have 4 Samsung ones) while the 64 gb Sandisk ones did. The 2 128 ones with non-analysed music worked fine. I formatted everything in FAT32 (specifically no exFAT) as suggested in a topic I found somewhere.

Any suggestions?

I am using 256GB USB Flash drives without issues. exFAT is not supported, FAT32 is fine. Can you provide more Details what you have done? Are your exported Flash Drives shown correctly in rekordbox? What Hardware you are using with the sticks?

I think I'm most amused that you have playlists for "Death Disco." 😂

So you formated with the Mini Partition Wizard - that's ok. Just to be sure - they are in MBR mode - not GPT?
Export finished without any error Code?
Do you get any error on the CDJ? You exported with the correct DB Format?

@ Pulse: Yeah, it's my personal mental category I use for very obscure and rare disco/nudisco. :D

For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bEBnkl8RTE

@ Frank Richter: It's the FUNKLOFT-one:

Seems correct. Export was fine. I didn't get an error on the CDJ. It just didn't give any browsing possibilities. I didn't use the DB format as I exported from within performance mode. Is this crucial?

Thx for the fast replies, BTW.

Ah, don't export from PERFORMANCE mode -- yes, it works, but it's still a bit buggy.

Oh OK, I'll re-export and try it out at my next gig with CDJ's. Stupid question: is there a possibility to export and start each file with the artist? Very annoying to use alphabetised title list and I'm not really comfortable searching tracks on a CDJ via the onboard keypad.

Why browse by the file names? Just use the browse by artist feature!

Can you do that on the CDJ's? It always shows the titles first when I'm browsing.

How are you browsing? If you choose artist from the top level menu, yes, the tracks are by title, but you're already in that particular artist.

You can also set the preference for the sort and the second column within rekordbox.

For example: I prepared a playlist with 30 tracks for a techno night that I have to play. I want to see Artist - Title in that specific playlist folder.

Whatever setup the organiser delivers, preferably nexus MK2.
