issues with usb device after upgrading to device library plus

I recently bought the Opus Quad so I I reformatted my usb drive before updating to Device library plus.  Since I still use CDJ 3000s, i still have the regular device library on my usb stick as well.  After syncing and plugging the usb into both the opus quad and cdj 3000s, all my tracks seem to be there but some of them appear unanalyzed.  The preview section in the browser is blank and when i load the track it gets analyzed on the device.  This is not ok since i need the full waveform, hot cues, etc.  I have tried resyncing multiple USBs and I have this problem.  I am running the newest OS on my M1 Pro macbook pro and the latest version of rekordbox.

Okay, so here's the deal... if you're using SYNC MANAGER, you need to go to the top-right and select the DEVICE LIBRARY PLUS from the drop-down, even if you have already checked it in the rekordbox preferences. This is a hiccup that could not be resolved before launch, but the next version will have it wrapped up.

If you are exporting directly by drag-and-drop, or right-click > export, you will have no problems.

Yes, i don't know of any other way to sync from rekordbox to USB.  I did the sync using an SD card and it seems to work fine but I know that the Opus Quad cannot use an SD card.  Is it necessary to sync twice, one for each device type in the top right corner of the sync manager?  Of course i always want my usb to have both device types currently synced so it will work on both the CDJs and Opus.  Thank you.

i have the same Problem . Is there already a solution ?

Thanks :-)

I was able to solve the problem. If you only have the Opus playlist on a stick (without the old format), then it works without any problems. Unfortunately, you have to separate the two types of playlists.

Thanks a lot Dennis... There is an issue surely on the "conversion" and the shared collection between the two different file system.

I'm trying now even if it give me error on some tracks with the log file as well and i forgot to mention it.

After it gives me the error I have to select the collection and transfer all to the usb "manually" and not with the Sync manager.

There are also problems when the two generations meet in the link. It's still buggy, the whole thing.

Dear Pulse, thanks for your reply.

I tried everything and also as you wrote but with no luck.

The only solution that seems to work is to disable the regular library from the preferences, enabling only the Libray Plus.

The next step is to delete all the tracks from the usb device.

Than export using the Sync Manager to get sync the playlists but it stops with the classic log file stating that some of the files are missing or similar issue.

After that I select all the tracks from the rb collection and manually right-click > export and all the tracks works fine.

Another quick question, do I have to manually sync the Hot Cue Bank List or I'm missing something?

Thanks for your time!

Had you previously converted the library?

Personally, I hate the sync manager and prefer to manually manage by exporting directly.

You can export Hot Cue Banks the same way you do playlists.

Yes I did. It has been the first thing I've done.

It seems (and not always) working using only the Library Plus.

So I will always do the transfer manually of the track, playlist and hot cue banks to make sure everything is fine even is a bit annoying as I have to select the single playlists everytime...

Thanks a lot for your time!

I had the same problem!

Maybe it's only with the windows computer,

I've try it with 3 windows computers, and all have the same problem, no analyzed, no waveforms in old librabry by a lot of tracks.

Rekordbox 6.6.11 missing waveforms in old library,

in new library (for opus Quad) see all the waveforms.

This happend when update to 6.6.11, new uploaded tracks in playlist rekordbox (with the waveform) after synchronize missing waveform on usb, only in old library.

Tested on 3 windows laptops, also with a new usb stick.

So I'm sure it's a bug.

When I turn the device library plus (opus quad) off in rekordbox, and synchronize a new usb, I've all the waveforms (but only old library :-(

Please helpppppppp!

Hello is not your windows, it seems a bug affecting as well mac users like me.
To temorary solve the issue, read my previous message.

Essentially do the manual transfer of the track, playlist and hot cue banks instead of using the sync manager.

We are looking forward to a rekordbox update...

All my usb sticks are fucked up. :-(

I had prepared them all for opus quad and cdj's

Why don't rekordbox wait with the new version, first fix this????????

(This is a hiccup that could not be resolved before launch, but the next version will have it wrapped up.) your words above?

Can you tell me Pulse?

Now all the people have a lot of work to recreate the sticks after new update????

Manual transfer is not do able.

I've too much playlists in different folders

Yes it is very annoying.

You can try eventually to keep the usb just with the old library to use with the older systems than use for now the link via wifi when using your opus and not the usb... It's not ideal but at least those are the options for now imho...

We have just to wait a bit.

I have been having similar issues and appear to have found a solution - basically you need a different USB for each library (one for standard 'Device Library' to work on most Pioneer products inc CDJs, and then a separate one for 'Device Library Plus (OPUS-QUAD).

But you can't just try to remove the files / playlists via Rekordbox - that leaves some legacy data on the USB.

So I literally deleted everything from 2 USB sticks, then exported 1 with Decice Library and then did the same with a 2nd stick with the OPUS QUAD Library.

The bug (of randomly missing waveforms) appears to have gone.

I've had to buy more USBs which is not ideal, but hoping this means I can keep one set of sticks for home (OPUS-QUAD) and another set for Clubs (CDJs).

Far from ideal - ridiculous in fact - but I had to try and find a solution that would enable me to play confidently on both sets of equipment.

I'm playing on CDJs tomorrow so will let you know if the above solution works...

I just played a gig on the Opus-Quad, actually first time on it.

Happy to report my USB with both the old Device Library & new Device Library Plus on it, worked perfectly without any issues (all playlists, hot cues etc were there).

Note: I have upgraded to latest Rekordbox v6.7.1
