Literally pulling my hair out and not much left.
Rekordbox 6.7.0 on Windows 10 with creative plan using dropbox with dropbox and rekordbox collection synced across three machines.
I add tracks by adding files manually to Dropbox and then dragging and dropping the dropbox root folder from File Explorer to 'collection' in Rekordbox. Been doing this for years, tracks are organised in dropbox in artist/release folders.
Normally it imports only new files to collection, Recently it has taken to re-adding the same 556 tracks (42 albums/folders) so I have two of each of the 556 tracks in my collection. If I right click on one track and go show in explorer it opens the explorer window and if I right click and do the same on the duplicate file it is the same file. The folders were originally added to Dropbox/Rekordbox at random times over the last three years. There is no rhyme or reason to the selection that are re-imported but they are all full folders.
I have to go through manually and work out what is a duplicate (as Rekordbox currently has no means of identifying duplicate entries in collection) and what is a new track and manually delete the duplicates, then when I import again they are back. This is tortuous.
I have no idea how to remedy this or even work out why it is happening. I would like to delete my whole collection, wait until it is synced empty on all three machines and re-import from Dropbox to refresh it but I would have to re-analyse all 19,000 tracks and would lose all my edited beat grids and cue and hot cue points which is years of work. (Just tried deleting a track from collection which has cue points and they are not restored when track is re-imported and re-analysed.)
Any ideas??

Hi, I haven't tried dragging my root dropbox audio folder into Rekordbox 6.7.1 as it's such a PITA to sort out if it does duplicate daatbase entries as Rekordbox has no way to identify duplicates (as it shouldn't due to it in theory not actually creating them in the first place). I'll try it now.
Try it please and if you still have the issue, please open an inquiry so we can investigate this further.
Sigh. 591 tracks, 24.5GB added and duplicated.
Noticeably they appear to be all full albums (folders), this has always been the case with this issue.
I'll raise a ticket, thanks for the response.
