@Pulse Can we have more videos about the DJM-2000? It's a very powerful mixer. I think not a lot of Dj's are using all the features it can do.

@phildw01  I know you really want to try out the new DJM2000 firmware.  Just an idea, but if you know anyone else with a laptop (mac or PC), offer them a beverage of choice and ask them to stop over for 5 minutes.  It could be some weird network setting on your mac.  I had an issue with my mac too, (I have adjusted my network settings in the past to try and share files with windows computers on a local network, and that may have been the issue). But fortunately, I have other computers over here, so I just used my windows computer and it worked perfectly to the instructions.

Just a thought.  I hope you or the Pioneer engineers can get a solution for you.  Best of luck.

I love the new FW, but some things could be improved.

The effect-section is getting to loud @some effects - but you already know this...

But from the first time using effects like flanger, filter, aso. - the signal is turning in red too so you have to turn back the gain a little to compensate the level.

The ZIP-Effect has been availiable at the DJM-800 by another name. There it was possible to change the effect to slow and fast. @ DJM-2000 you can only "slow down the tempo". On my mind it would be nice to have the same option on the 2000's like it was on the 800...

Will this be changed in future updates ?

Pulse: "What are you guys finding is a problem with the slip roll?"

It's offbeat/poorly timed since this update.. Check for yourself with quantize turned off or older firmware and you will see it 'locks' much better to the beat.

(I play only Electronic Dance Music)

and it kind of skips or stutters a bit just when you activate some times, most noticeable on the 1/2 beat and 1/4 beat..

hey,  i know red means bad.  but now that i'm stuck with this new firmware, am i safe to use the effects even though i'm in the red? or should i avoid these features till a new firmware comes out. i hate seeing things in red, and i don't want to ruin my djm.

Thanks

@RedTurboMr2 > It won't ruin your DJM to be in the red, but anything outboard or downstream from your mixer may suffer from signals jumping that much (eg. speakers, recordings).

ah ok,  i can live with that, maybe this will eventually get me to upgrade my speakers :) lol.  I hope there's a fix soon though, the volumes are too loud.

Thanks for the reply pulse, much appreciated.

HI all ,as a regular user of pioneer dj equipment since the early days of the djm 500 and cdj 500 mk 2 and now I'm on to my third mixer which is the DJM 2000 which I'm very happy to own ,but when I updated the firmware I was suprised by the fact that the LAN cables supplied were faulty and did not connect electrically with either my laptop or the mixer and had to use a LAN cable supplied with my laptop which connected straight away after 3 days of head scratching ! Not something you'd expect after paying £1700 and secondly I was suprised by the fact that the engineers thought the the sidechain ocs volume  was  ok ! Come on pioneer that needs to be put right man it's almost unusable ! Still a sweet mixer though .

Many thanks for the reply Gavin I'm not too bothered by the cables ,just thought if it had happened to me it might be a problem for some one else updating . Great news about the s/c volume though ,look forward to that ,good work Pioneer .
