How do i link the Nexus 900 to CDJ 2000...

Hi,

I have just upgraded to a nexus 900 and know that this mixer can control the lights on my CDJ 2000s. I have bought a switch hub so all are linked and the tunes are playing through record box. However, the lights do not seem to change when a tune is mixed out.

So...How do i link the Nexus 900 to CDJ 2000 so the mixer controls the lights on the Jog wheel of the CDJs?

Thanks

Joe

On the CDJs, first enable ON-AIR status in the player menu.  While you're in the menu, assign the player number for each player so that it matches the channel of the mixer it will be connected to -- for example, if you have the right CDJ connected to channel 3, number it player 3.

Next, connect the players and the mixer via the ethernet cable to a network switch (NOT a router).

When you play audio from one of the players -- provided the channel gain is up, the EQs aren't in full-kill mode, the channel fader is up, the cross-fader is open and the master volume isn't zero -- the player's on-air status will become active and the jog illumination will change from white to red.

This is great thanks.

However, on one of my CDJ's only the 2 bottom red lights on the player are illuminating. The other player is fine and both the white illuminations are fine.

Is this a setting issue or does my (brand new) player have a fault?

If so how can i rectify this?

Regards

Joe

When i say two bottom red lights i mean the 2 bottom red lights on the Jog wheel. Not the full four as it should be.

Yeah, that's certainly a fault with the player in either the LEDs or the circuit.  Contact Pioneer technical support via the links at the right -->
