Also tried recording outside of Traktor with Audacity. Same problem. I feed the output of the DJM (rec out) into Traktor deck D.
I have Apple MacBook Pro, Traktor Pro2 2.5, 2x CDJ 900 as USB midi controllers and CDJ 900 as external mixer. I normally use all 4 decks in Traktor and no real CDs.
All works fine...except recording in Traktor.
The recordings sound good (in terms of volume, distortion, etc). But it is cracking. Sounds like the cracks I also sometimes have with playing on Traktor. That problem is normally resolved by rebooting the laptop. The recording is a pain in neck still. I think I am missing some understanding on how to set it up.
Can you please help out here?
Regards, Peter

You don't need to feed the output (recording) from the mixer into a virtual deck - you can assign it directly to the recording input.
If you're getting crackling, it could be you need to up the latency settings on the audio configuration.
In the Traktor "mix recorder" menu I have an external source (DJM900). I can only select A, B, C, D of FX send. I have Traktor 2.5.0. So I do not understand the comment.
I just set the latency to 47.9 ms. This solves the earlier problem where I used to reboot. It improves but does not solve the recording issue. I even see the cracks in the metering of Audacity. Funny thing however is that it stops when my decks are not playing. It starts when the decks are playing. Even when the faders are set to silence... beats me...
I looked at the instruction video about the DJM 2000 to perhaps learn how to do this on DJM 900 as well. I see that settings are made to switch to 6-channel out 2 channel input 16 bit in the djm 2000 by a selection out of three options. I see no options like that in the DJM 900 utility. Is this related with my problem as stated?
I just got my DJM900 back so I'm hoping to rattle off some other videos soon!
I'm having the same problem with 2.5.0. It seems there is a problem with Keylock according to the NI site. There is a big update in "final Testing" with lots for CDJ2000/900 owners and a fix for the crackling.

Looking forward to the video....and have tried so many settings on my DJM900 and the newly released tractor but I can not get any signal into the recorded...unless I use the 'internal' setting in Mix Recorder.
I don't have any external soundcard and i have a djm 800 otherwise i would've dropped a fast video.
maybe add a live input in traktor and link your djm into the live deck which gets recorded.
When I record on Traktor, with a rca cord from an empty track to the master out, the sound does not come out evenly through both headphones when I play it back later on. The sound shifts from left headphone speaker to the right. Please let me know what I have to do to fix this problem.
You need me to make my video, that's what. Coming soon!
