DJM-2000 bug fix arrived!

Well, sort of... Where can I leave my address to have my faulty unit exchanged for a DJM-2000 Nexus? This has gone on long enough, Pioneer should offer some kind of trade-in program.

GOD I hope this update will make me happy! If they manage to make all existing things working 100% and add some new functions (which we have suggested since the day it came out) I would be very happy! if not then I SELL my DJM and buy a xone db4 :)

@Devotion > Sorry, my bad!

@Kid Ali > Thanks for sticking out the ride ;)

@Pionix > Yes, you will need CDJ2000nexus to avail of some of the newer features.

@Mark Mills > Ok, clarity. EVERYTHING that is in the firmware on the DJMnexus is also include in the MK1 mixer. However, you will need CDJnexus to avail of some of these features.

@Zeus > Yes, the beat slice is included in the MK1.

@T-Top > I hope this does go to show that Pioneer (and us forum guys) consider all your feedback very strongly and try to do right by our users.

It's very nice to hear that most of the new features will be available on the djm2000! However... I think at easter, if all will be ok with the nexus, i will not stay away from him...

@gav nice one, 3.0 seems worth the wait now :) very happy with that, and yes it does show that pioneer (and you guys) are considering our feedback. have to admit if the nexus came out and the mk1 was literally abandoned in its current state id have been going elsewhere for my next dj purchase. i have one cdj1000 and one cdj2000 but if this 3.0 fw does what it says i'll defo make my next cdj a 2000 nexus to access these features i cant get on the cdj2k mk1

today is a great day and i think the support on here is great. really happy the djm is getting fixed, the fact that there is now a release date is great. one thing i would say is though pioneer needs to work on communicating to its customers better. ie if we had been told that there wasnt going to be 3.0 till the nexus was released then maybe people would have been alot more understanding.

its been along time coming but im happy

@GAVIN

That sounds better than many of us mk1 owners could have hoped for ,as long as it's tight without to many serious problems my faith in Pioneer will be restored, looking forward to the release and you mods can take a holiday from some of us moaning mk 1 owners ,but for how long ....

@Zeus "today is a great day and i think the support on here is great. really happy the djm is getting fixed, the fact that there is now a release date is great."

I thought there was no release date on the firmware? If there is then what is it?

@Gavin - Yes, very impressed with this one! You guys are always great (forum mods) and SO happy that Pioneer didn't just leave the 2000 owners in the dark with this one. The Remix button on my mixer feels useless right now but this will change everything

Pulse/Gav,

Will we (MK1) owners lose any features with the ver. 3.0 update?  Anything get dropped for the DJM2000nexus?  I would imagine IF anything it would be in the touch section...

Thanks in advance.

Thank you Pioneer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love you guys!

Forget every other hyped up crappy DJ company out there.

If youre not on Pioneer, your not doing it!

Now soon,  I will have the two worlds greatest mixers:

I now have the DDJ-SX (AWESOME!) and in version 3.0 I will have updated my DJM 2000!!!

Love you guys. Thanks for the leadership GAVIN!

Gavin Some Pioneer person the Pioneer Youtube page said the old DJM will be getting the beat slicer can you make 100% sure if it will or will not be.

This has been said several times on this forum. they said it will get all new touchscreen features.. there was some confusion about it but they clarified it. I saved the topics on my harddrive just in case 'they get lost' ;)

SO if they do not cheat on us I am sure we will get it

They may be getting them but the question is will it work with the MK1's

Thats what most people are waiting to find out.

I am a djm 900 nexus owner and glad to here djm 2000 mk1 owners happy with the results PIO is about to give current owners with a updated firmware to have all the features that the new djm 2000 nexus will have. Am I right to assume that djs like myself interested in getting another mixer or upgrading can just try get the djm 2000 mk1 instead of getting the new djm 2000 nexus and still work the same in theory of course? I could be wrong but If everyone tried to purchase the discontinued djm 2000 to cut costs as you can get one now for hundreds of $ cheaper than the new nexus, so what is the point in PIO selling a new nexus at 2500$ when it is essentially an already firmware updated mk1?

DJ NVASION: there is more differecies... some id HW based. Another buttons description, another color of isolator knobs, better faders and so...

... so I think, that DJM 2000 Nexus is replacing for DJM 2000 and MK1 is discontinued.

Well soon It'll be guinea pig time to see if wether the said updates actually work on the mk1 or wether Pioneer will render the mk1 un un-usable ,don't get me wrong I am looking forward to this update/fix but the trend of Pioneer's track record leaves me slightly cold man !!

@Mark They had plenty of time to make it right this time ;)

@ Benno: They had plenty of time for the last update as well!!! It was nearly 1 year!

So, we will see... But, if this firmware update will be also a fail, it will be really embarrassing for Pioneer... even more than it is now!

Guys from Pioneer Russia said: CDJ2000 & DJM 2000 were discontinued @summer 2012. There's zero units of them on the Pio warehouse.

Discontinued in the sense that they're not being made anymore. Certainly not discontinued from any form of support standpoint.

Copied from Gavin in this thread…

an update for the original DJM2000 will be available at the end of this month - it will include many bug fixes as well as incorporating some of the new features from the Nexus.

November 15

Understandable but this is a set in stone release date by which Pioneer will deliver the DJM-2000 firmware update.

November 15

When will you release it ?
