Firmware update for DJM-2000?

I'm guessing the new firmware "at the end of the month" didn't make it out the doors yet? Do we have a new ETA or any update on the matter? Thank you kindly!

@LightKing > You don't need the CDJnexus specifically for the the firmware features. You can use any input.

Good to see an update coming.

Already had an idea it would be a "Christmas present"

I do have a question.

Will the beatslicer only work (well) with tracks scanned in rekordbox?

In the promo video, Monsta used the beatslicer on a live vocal, so that can't have been scanned in RekordBox.

However the BPM info has to come from somewhere.  My guess is either another channel with RekordBox BPM info or (more likely) Beat Sync Master from the DJM itself, a CDJ-2000nexus or RekordBox via Pro DJ Link.

Yeah, just saw the video.

It's because of this video my question came up.

I think I heard the guy in the video say analyzed mp3's when using beat slicer.

So I guess it's only possible to use beatslicer with tracks analyzed in rekordbox.

I just want to be sure.

I have issues with rekordbox and prefer not to use it because when I export my playlists from rekordbox on to my flashdrives it creates a folder for every single mp3 file, which is not handy for me.

@zeus > Its ok, I'm Irish - we practically speak the same language but lets keep it PG please (also, I edited it to something more appropriate)

@mista Tee > It'll be more accurate having run tracks through rekordbox but I don't believe rekordbox is absolutely necessary.

Well that news could not be better and when it lands it will be a long drawn out episode that will soon be forgotten as the beat slicer gets chopped up all round the planet for the new year.

So will the mk1 owners finally be Proud Flagship owners, I guess we will have to wait to find out ,but that aside fair play to Pioneer ,fixes and new features and a very upto date DJM2000 with nexus compatabilities, SWEET !!!

I don't mean to put a downer on things as I was really looking forward to the beat slicer, I still am to be honest. But apart from the option to record the changes, there isn't much difference to looping 8 beats on a cdj then using either roll or slip roll, is there?

if you where to loop an 8 beat then use roll or slip roll you can effect the 8 beats as it plays through you wouldn't be able to roll or slip the 4th beat then right away slip or roll the 8 beat you would have to wait till the original source gets to the 8th beat while the beatslicer can effect any part of the 8 beats regardless where the original beat is on. Hope that makes any sence.
