DJM-2000 Beatslice the Microphone

I did it once but can't remember how to do it.  I watched the "Monsta" video where they demonstrate how to beatslice the microphone vocals on a DJM-2000 nexus but it doesn't make sense to me.  They select channels 4 and 3 but on the mixer use the faders on channels 1 and 2....  Long story short, how do I record a sample via the microphone and beatslice the sample on the DJM-2000 w/ the latest firmware?

if im correct in saying you can use the sampler to record your mic then bring up the clip on the cdjs using the djm2000 sampler source and pump it into the beat slicer

Alternatively you would need to have a mic as an input to the mixer.

there may be other ways but thats how i see it :)

Thx Pionix, I appreciate your worthwhile comment as opposed to the "go search" comment people insist on making! Obviously I'm asking for a reason because my search criteria didn't return any relevant results to my question.

To save others the trouble of searching, i'll take the 15 seconds to copy/paste the resolution here:

Use the 'Live Sampler' to record the mic input.

Using Link, transfer the recorded sample to a spare/free deck.

Set the Beatslicer to work on that deck.
