[CLOSED] DJM 300 knob without "click" at middle

Do you know that click (or resistance, I don't know how to call it) the knob does when you put it at 50%?

The right high-EQ on my DJM 300 stopped doing that, and now only offers 1/10 of the normal resistance/click, like all the other knobs.

Do I have to replace the knob or is there something else I need to repair/replace?

The blip you feel is a small ball bearing on a spring inside the rotary potentiometer. The plastic knob you touch doesn't affect it. The rotary pot would need to be replaced.

Thank you. But where can I get a replacement pot? Can I do it myself?

I'd always recommend that you have it repaired at an authorised service centre. However, given the age and value of a DJM-300 you may find it's not really economically viable to go down that route, as you'll probably have shipping costs to get it to them, pay for the parts and labour and then any shipping costs back.

I can look for a local repair shop for Pioneer products, but I'm guessing they'll to run into problems finding parts for this mixer. What is the propper/formal name for the part I need?
