Traktor does not work over ethernet connection - that is a rekordbox only connection.
You will need to use USB cables from each piece of equipment to connect to your laptop.
Just recently bought two cdj 900's and djm 900 nexus mixer and im trying to hook them all up via ethernet chord
I have both players hooked to the Ethernet hub along with the mixer and then i have my mixer hooked to the laptop via usb (coming out of the mixer) chord but i cant get the players to link to the laptop through traktor (and i have installed to hardware for the mixer and selected you audio device as djm 900 in traktor settings) can you help?? thank you

ok is there anyway to get the "fader start" feature to work with traktor? and if im not using a computer what is the benefit of having the two players and mixer hooked to a Ethernet hub?
The ethernet hubs will allow you to connect the decks together and share one audio source (such as a USB stick) or connect to rekordbox software.
Yes, it should be possible but you'll need to map / assign the software to a particular piece of the hardware to engage it.
From NI website, user DJ dp pointed out the following:
Connect all the USB's etc.. up to Traktor.
Turn the Midi on on the DJM900
Go to Preferences / Control Manager / Add a device
Change 'In Port' to DJM 900 Nexus and leave everything else
Click 'Add In' button
Select 'Deck Common' / 'Flux Mode On'
Make sure the fader start button light is off, on the mixer
Click on 'Learn'
Press the fader Start button so the light goes on
Click off 'Learn'
Change the interaction mode to 'Hold'
Change the deck assignment to which ever deck you want (Usually A or B)..
Hey Presto!
This should now turn the fader start button light on and turn the flux on at the same time..
still seeming to have trouble as the "flux" feature on traktor acts the same way as the "slip" feature on the cdj 900 where when deck is stopped track continues to play........
Sounds like you didn't get Flux turning on/off properly...
