Problems recording via USB from DJM-850

I have my DJM 850 connected to my MacBook via USB and the mixer is detected fine by the Pioneer app and Audacity. But when I try and record anything I just get a flat line. I have tried using different channels for the USB connection but all the same problem. I have also had a look in the midi setup under Applications > Utilities > Audio Midi Setup and when I look at the levels they are all muted and greyed not allowing me to change them. Comparing this to the Line In setting I am able make changes to all the sliders in here so my question is why are they all blanked out for my mixer?

MacBook Pro 2.4GHz / 4Gb ram / 256Gb SSD / Snow Leopard 10.8.4

Thanks!

To give you a quick answer, it's not supposed to show you any volume controls, but the bigger problem is that your soundcard is configured for recording at 24bit/96KHz and Audacity is configured to record at 32bit/44.1KHz.

Take a look at my video (for the DJM-2000) and see if anything there helps:

Hi Pulse,

I have tried setting the mixer and Auadacity (including the midi setting in OSX) to both 48KHz and 96KHz and in both settings Audacity still just shows a flat line when connected to the DJM-850. The Pioneer utility recognises its connected and everything so really don't know what is up with it.
