I was going to say ... it's EXTREMELY RARE that anyone's running security software on a Mac, never mind Norton <shudder>.

[CLOSED] Norton for Mac update causing Rekordbox to crash (DJM900 over LAN)
After a Norton update over the weekend, when I connected to my CDJnexus and DJM900 via LAN to Rekordbox, it would crash within 5 seconds of clicking on the LINK button in Rekordbox.
After checking various hardware connections - I had everything unplugged over the weekend, so couldn't be sure I hadn't done something stupid in reconnecting everything, I realised the issue was only with the DJM900 over LAN, and not with the CDJ2000Nexus. If I left the DJM900 out of the LAN switch, everything worked fine (just no quantizing of effects). Plug in the DJM900, and crash/reboot.
Eventually looked at the crash reports to see if there was anything obvious in there, and noticed "Symantec" featured a fair bit. Tried disabling firewall and anti-virus, but still caused it to crash. Subsequently uninstalled the whole lot, and everything is fine.
Just for reference, am running 2.2.4 of Rekordbox and Mavericks. Maybe most people don't use Norton products for mac etc, but here's how I solved it anyway.
