Follow[CLOSED] Problem Connecting Pioneer DJM-900SRT w/ Serato DJ , MacBook Pro , Turntables
Hello
late 2011 MacBook Pro 10.7.5
2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB ram
Last night at a monthly gig I was having a connection issue when connecting my MacBook Pro running Serato DJ 1.7.0 and the Pioneer DJM-900SRT hooked up with two Technics 1200s.
When Serato DJ was launched and connected the mixer the USB connection indicator light on the mixer was flashing green instead of being solid.
Then I would place the needle onto the control vinyl in relative mode and nothing would happen, it wasn’t playing the track at all.
Within Serato DJ the mixer appeared connected, the interface switched over and showed the left and right decks but it was completely unaffected /didn’t show any change when the needle was playing control vinyl.
Even after restarting mixer/laptop, swapping needles/tone records/usb cable/usb ports and checking Serato settings it was getting no read.
This morning at home I connected my laptop into my Rane 62 mixer w/ turntables and things worked fine. I don’t have a Pioneer DJM-900SRT to test at home.
So as to learn how to avoid this situation in the future, any thoughts on what may have been causing this?
Thank you for your time

I just set up the same set up (with Pioneer PLX-1000s) and everything was fine. The issues can be-
Drivers for the 900SRT, calibration in Serato, and making sure you're plugged into the channels that are set up in Serato.
Also,
Did you select ”TURNTABLES” below [Deck Setup] in the Audio tab of the Serato DJ Settings?
・Do you select USB in the input source knob located at the top of each applicable channel of DJM-900SRT?
@walter_white , thanks for the tip, downloaded and installed the latest driver to make sure up to date.
@djjay thanks for info...someone else mentioned clicking "TURNTABLES" in audio tan even if already selected to reset the deck settings. The USB knobs was selected for each channel.
For the 900SRT drivers should I uninstall those and reinstall those? If so how do I remove the 900 SRT driver on my Mac? Or should I just make sure my driver is up to date.
@Matthew > Simply installing the driver package over the existing drivers will replace the files.
Are you using the SRT connected to a USB hub or direct?
