[OPEN] Faulty DJM 800 - No audio from RCA master out

I have purchased a DJM 800 and it is faulty. I can get sound from the REC out but not the RCA master out. When connected to the RCA master out I get a loud pop noise when I change the master volume knob to zero. I am unable to test XLR output. Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

Thanks

rw

1) With a CDJ or other line level device connected to a channel, adjust the gain so that channel meter shows activity around the first orange LED. Take the channel fader to full-open.

2) If the crossfader is assigned to that channel, ensure the crossfader is set to that side.

3) Turn the master volume knob to about 2 o'clock - the master channel meter should show activity.

4) Check your output on the master RCAs to see if whatever you're connected to is getting signal.

Thanks for the reply. I get no RCA output ( just a pop noise), but record out still works. Thanks

@rw > What are you connecting the DJM RCAs to? Are the channel / master meters showing any activity? Have you been able to try either the master XLR or the booth (TRS) out?

@Pulse > I am connecting them to 2 active speakers, have tested with new RCA leads, and tried other devices on the speakers to ensure that they work. Channels are working fine, when adjusting the master volume control I can see the level lights showing activity as normal also.

Could certainly be a problematic output. Give the other Master outputs a try to see if it's possibly just the master 2 (RCA) of if it's the XLR as well.
