DJM 900 usb sound not only on channel 1?

Hello

I've got the DJM900 Nexus and after the last Windows 8.1 djm900 utility update, i can autimatically assign the signal from usb on the laptop to channel one. when i change the source for example on channel 4 on the mixer, nothing happens. The light next to usb source lights only on the 1st channel and the audio plays always only on channel 1. Unfortunetelly, I have the CDJs connected on channel 1 and 2...

you have to change in the software you are using on your computer which channel you are outputting to.

If it's ableton, you have to open up the I/O of the track you are playing audio from and select a different output for the DJM900. channel 1 on DJM = output 1/2, channel 2 on DJM = output 3/4. channel 3 on DJM = output 5/6, channel 4 on DJM = output 7/8

Yes but im not having any software on the computer.simply all of the sound from the computer is routed to the channel 1 on the mixer. The mixer acts as a usb soundcard plugged into the usb port of my computer. I like this mode but cant change the channel the sound is routed in the mixer. It is on channel 1 but i would like to have it on channel 4 on the mixer fot example. The djm utility on the computer does nit affect anything in this case and i dont know why

What are you using on your computer? Rekordbox, Ableton, traktor, something else? iTunes? On your software on the computer you have to tell it which output on the DJM soundcard you want it to go to. The DJM utility is different

so in your soundcard settings on your computer you have to change it to a different output on the DJM soundcard. if you're on a Mac, go to system preferences > sound > output and select 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 or 7/8. if it's windows I believe it's Control Panel, Sound & Volume Settings, I don't have windows so can't test

It's all reliant on the application; system audio can't be routed through any output other than 1/2 (CH1) unless you have an application acting as a middle-man to handle the audio.

Apparently only the Mac world likes such features, I haven't been able to find much that can do it easily for Windows, sorry.
