Almost like the effect is already echoing before you even engage the effect so when you finally do echo it bleeds in sounds you really don't want.
YUP! so annoying, I resorted to the "spiral" effect, I gave up on the echo, it's horrible
For sometime now we meaning myself and many others hear on the forum have discussed the problem with the djm 900 nexus echo effect to work how we would like it to work. For instance with the djm 800 echo effect it works by engaging the effect and it instantaneously echo the track. So if I where to echo a down beat the effect will echo the down beat while i cut off the sound. The 900 does not work this way it some how effects the sound the same way but allows the echo to be too aggressive. Almost like the effect is already echoing before you even engage the effect so when you finally do echo it bleeds in sounds you really don't want.

With the 800 everyone complained. They changed it on the 900 and everyone complained again. Geez, you guys will never be happy until it sounds as awful as the DJM600!
for the record the 800 was the first Pioneer mixer I ever owned and loved the echo, The 900 echo, no one I know likes, they all use spiral now and hope for an update I am sure is not happening. I think you mentioned in an earlier complaint that the engineers already said this could not be changed via FW
@pulse if Brichi and people he knows do not like the 900 echo and myself and my dj friends do not like the 900 echo I think we are on to something. The threads some time back which raised this issue not one dj said they liked the 900 echo.
@pulse and @gavin and any other pioneer dj could you honestly tell me that you like the djm 900 echo effect over the djm 800?
whats amazing is I can't find one complaint when the 800 came out about the echo, lol
being the 800 was the first big flagship club standard that everyone got used to, why would Pioneer change the echo back to a 600 that hardly any club owned?
hi. i had the the djm 800 & 750 i sold them both cos i couldn't stand the crap echo effects , really bad quality
so ive gone back to my faithful mixer the djm 400. its such a great little mixer
and i ask people, if you want a good clean echo , fx this is the one for you
