DJM 900 Nexus No Signal other than Digital?

2X  1200mk3ds, 2X CDJ 900s, just got a djm 900 nexus to add to it, and when i was hooking up the RCAs i noticed that i wasn't getting signal (yes i had changed the dial to reflect it was cd/line) on the channel. Tested the line jacks as well, no dice. Changed to a different channel cd/line and even tried the phono, nothing. Decided to check the digital lines, and viola, i have signal, but no monitoring thru headphones. Also when trying to output from the mixer there was no signal leaving the mixer thru any other way than the digital out, and that sounded muffled and buried. 

Any one have suggestions or did i just get a bad unit out the box?
