@ Michel > In Rekordbox, when in "Full" view, there are auto loops located near the top and on the left of the beat grid. Turn on your "Quantize" button so it is in green, and you can click an auto-loop of "4" "8" "16" or "32" beats. You can also use the "In" and "Out" buttons to set your own loops, and click the "Reloop" button to exit current loops, or reloop what you have selected.

Here is a snapshot below for you.

Foster: But I like to know how I can adjust these markers for the in and out.

Like I can adjust them on a cdj 2000.

@ Michel > Rekordbox is not built to replicate what the CDJ's do. Rekordbox is simply a music management software. When you press the "Quantize" button, that makes every loop or "In" and "Out" point set itself to the nearest beat according to the beat grid. Therefore you should have perfect loops that stay in beat. If you wish to shorten a loop, you can simply click the "In" or "Out" button again to make the loop start later or end earlier depending on which button you press. You can also change the loop size by clicking the auto loop buttons of either "4" "8" "16" or "32" beats. The only way to make a loop longer is by pressing the auto loop button with a larger number than what you already have selected as a loop. And be careful, when you hit an auto loop number twice, it engages, then disengages the loop, and the next time you press it, the loop will reset it's beginning to the current position in the track.

You can also turn off the "Quantize" feature in Rekordbox, but it makes your loops cue "In" and "Out" exactly where you press the button, so you might find it is not very accurate considering the "Quantize" adjusts it perfectly to the beat grid for you.

It might be handy to go into the Rekordbox Preferences and go to the "Keyboard" pane and set different controls on your keyboard to use with Rekordbox. You can then have auto loops mapped to your keyboard, as well as the "In" , "Out" and "Exit/Reloop" buttons.

Yeh I'd like the same functionality. You wouldn't think it would be to difficult to implement either. Just being able to drag the in/out points of the loop on the waveform to fine-tune loops. It's not too crucial for more current electronic music, because there's not too much swing in the tracks. But for funk and older school tunes this would be a real help.

Cheers,

Nate.
